Note: Mac OS X 10.7 will be the only version of Mac OS X supported by Oracle. 10.6.8 + Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 6 should continue to work for the foreseeable future. We do not expect to use 10.7-only API in the codebase.

After you install Xcode, you will have to install "Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 6", "Java for Mac OS X 10.7 Update 1" or a later developer preview to correct headers in the JavaRuntimeSupport framework.

Apple is planning to issue a future OS software update for 10.7 which will deliver all new JavaRuntimeSupport API required by OpenJDK, so downloading Apple's Java will not be necessary.
